In My Mailbox #32.

The 5th wave - Rick Yancey.

Résumé : THE 1st WAVETook out half a million people.THE 2nd WAVEPut that number to shame.THE 3rd WAVELasted a little longer. Twelve weeks . . . Four billion dead.IN THE 4th WAVE,You can't trust that people are still people.AND THE 5th WAVE?No one knows. But it's coming. On a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs. Runs from the beings that only look human, who have scattered Earth's last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan may be her only hope. Now Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death.

Chasing Brooklyn - Lisa Shroeder.

Résumé : Restless souls and empty hearts

Brooklyn can't sleep. Her boyfriend, Lucca, died only a year ago, and now her friend Gabe has just died of an overdose. Every time she closes her eyes, Gabe's ghost is there waiting for her. She has no idea what he wants or why it isn't Lucca visiting her dreams.

Nico can't stop. He's always running, trying to escape the pain of losing his brother, Lucca. But when Lucca's ghost begins leaving messages, telling Nico to help Brooklyn, emotions come crashing to the surface.

As the nightmares escalate and the messages become relentless, Nico reaches out to Brooklyn. But neither of them can admit that they're being haunted. Until they learn to let each other in, not one soul will be able to rest.

Ayant beaucoup aimé " I heart you, you haunt me ", et " Far from you " de la même auteur, et ce livre me tentant depuis des années, j'ai finalement craqué et l'ai acheté.

This may sound crazy - Abigail Breslin.

Résumé : Academy Award-nominated actress and musician Abigail Breslin is your best friend in her publishing debut, a collection of hilarious and heartfelt nonfiction essays on the subjects nearest and dearest to our hearts: love, loss, and Tumblr.
Growing up in film and the online era, Abigail knows better than anyone—it’s rough out there in love-land. And this generation is ill-prepared to handle it gracefully. Let’s be honest: if Cinderella had been on Twitter, she’d have ended up a crazy old cat lady like the rest of us. #realtalk
So when your “boyfriend” is liking different eligible young things’ selfies, what’s a modern ingenue to do? Put down the iPhone, step away from the hair dye, and ~chill~. Abbie is here with cautionary tales and solid advice on being a classy-ass lady in the digital age.
Because, girls, we’re more than what meets the newsfeed. And this may sound crazy…
But we’ve got this.
Plus, this book is gorgeous inside and out. With a foil cover and heavily designed interior, this collection will be the crowning jewel on any teen’s nightstand.

The opposite of loneliness : Essays and stories - Marina Keegan.

Résumé : Marina Keegan's star was on the rise when she graduated from Yale in May 2012. She had a play that was to be produced at the New York International Fringe Festival and a job waiting for her at the New Yorker. Tragically, five days after graduation, Marina died in a car crash.
As her family, friends and classmates, deep in grief, joined to create a memorial service for Marina, her unforgettable last essay for the Yale Daily News, 'The Opposite of Loneliness', went viral, receiving more than 1.4 million hits. She had struck a chord.
Even though she was just 22 when she died, Marina left behind a rich, expansive trove of prose that, like her title essay, captures the hope, uncertainty and possibility of her generation. The Opposite of Loneliness is an assemblage of Marina's essays and stories that articulates the universal struggle we all face as we work out what we aspire to be and how we can harness our talents to make an impact on the world.

Cloud Atlas - David Mitchell

Voilà pour cet In My Mailbox ! :)
